Ok, I have did searches in these forums, as well as others, and I have yet to find an answer to this.
I have a 2006 FLHX-I, for those of us that prefer the names, it's a fuel injected 2006 Street Glide.
A friend of mine is now doing tts tuning, which involves removing any piggy back programmers (power commander, ect...) and he then rewrites my ECM. I was sorta skeptical at first, but then let him do it. WOW! over 20% more hp and torque over what the PC3 and a dyno tune got me.
Anyhow, this is thread is not about what he did, but rather what I want.
My bike came without O2 sensors. If I had O2 sensors, he says that the ECM would constantly adjust to air temp, humidity, and other weather/atmospheric conditions; but since I don't have O2 sensors, I am still only running the one map or tune.
SO...how do I got about adding O2 sensors? Is it as easy as getting an ECM from a bike with O2 sensors that will still plug into my wiring harness? I do believe they had some '06 SG fuel injected with O2 sensors in California, no?
with o2 sensors an ecm can alter fuel delivery ( +/- ) to match air density ( which is affected by temp, alt. humidity etc.) the o2 sensor will tell the ecm in realtime, constantly, if the mixture is rich or lean
physically it's swapping to a 2007/08 header.....modding a 2009+ header or aftermarket header...or having an muffler shop weld bungs into place.
I "think" you would then need a replacement ECM such as the thundermax- read up on that.
o2 sensors come in 2 sizes, and 2 wire vs 3 wire- so check you have the right stuff
I have no idea how you add O2 sensors to an ECM that didn't use them. I'm sure that taking a newer ECU is fraught with problems. Probably aftermarket.
That said, if the stock ECU is running open loop then either whoever tuned the PC3 did a shitty job, or the guy who tuned the TTS is telling stories. 20% is pretty fantastic assuming all other things are equal.

Total crap job on dyno'ing PC3....i can feel the extra power, and its just just a little bit. My riding buddies with the stock 103's arent waiting for me as much, and that 1200 sporty doesnt leave me behind anymore either. LOL
You dont need a new Ecm but you will need the stock 02 sensors and wiring from Harley.
you will have to wire them to your Ecm call tts and ask for Steve Cole He can head you in the
right direction.

I have pipes with O2 bungs on my 1990 Glide, chosen so that my indy can better tune my carb bike. Seems like a lot of effort to add O2 holes to existing pipes, just a version with them installed. Pipes up to '08 will fit, in fact mine are for an '08.
