The whole frame of the '12 is new and the gas tank is longer, coming further back on the bike, as well as having a different way of holding the seat on. If you can offer it up to see where it touches and reckon you can adapt it, that would be fine, but it won't bolt on.

Sounds like that might be worth a look, mind you I have lots of mods planned for the future and one would be recovering the seat and bags to match so might be a bit daft buying a new one but depends on price I suppose
