I'm 6'1" and just use the brake. It works great.

I have Kuryakyn floor board relocators 1" out and 1" forward. I added the softbrake +2 and it's perfect. I removed the heel shifter, and I extended the shifter +2 also. I can move my feet around all over my floorboards. It's nice to be able to change position on long rides. I also mounted highway pegs low on the crashbar. I can use them with my heel still on the floorboard, or with my feet completely on the highway pegs. I like versatility. (I don't run lowers)

I didn't like how high the brake pedal was on my '14 Ultra Classic. So instead of dropping $150 + on a new pedal ,I opted to remove my pedal, cut it just ahead of the pivot point from the top down not quite clear through , bent it down to suit me and re-welded it. Then sent if off and got it stripped and re-chromed. Cost me $80 and a little time. Works perfect now. Got the idea on this forum somewhere.

I did it on my Softail, it is much more comfortable. Am going to be doing it on my Ultra soon.

I put the SoftBrake on my Limited as the stock one was horrible. I went +0 but with the different angle, it's like a +1 compared to stock. Very worthwhile mod.

I ordered and installed the Softbrake SB 008 S +1. When opening the vent on the brake side lower, I just make sure to not open all the way...one "notch" from full open. It may just clear in full open but I'd rather be sure. Much more comfortable!

I installed this brake lever in conjunction with the Tall Boys Footboard Relocating Brackets as well. So much better than stock!
