I'll chime in also. On the 12 RGU I ran Trapp 2:1 for 10 months. Good pipe, no real complaints, tuned by Doc. Later on I switched over to the Fulsac Sport pipe, with Trapp Fat shots on the back. Another good pipe. About 3 months before I sold it I put the 2:1 back on with the old tune for a day or so, it was interesting. Both pipes were smooth with the slight advantage to the Trapp 2:1 under 2500. Seat of the pants dyno, lol. Again just a slight difference. On the current, running the Jackpot 2:1:2 header with CVO muffs with 2" Fulsac cores. The front to back balance seems a little closer with the Jackpot.
Excellent comments. Thanks. I have gutted my stock headpipe, I will order the B&E 2.25 Superflow modified mufflers and run a comparison. Got to scratch that itch.
I bought a used 2 into 1 header with the Nightstick (Supertrapp) muffler and left the cat in place. Since I never typically pull past 4000 even when I'm in a hurry, the added restriction should actually enhance the torque (I hope.) Runs great regardless, and the added heat is not an issue on a '00 1550.

Got my decatted pipe from them. Forgot they repack mufflers. And for $165. Pretty good deal.
The squished stock crossover pipe will have to be replaced. Wondering if my local muffler shop can duplicate the stock bending but with full tube diameter ?

Fuel Moto sells a full sized crossover pipe. I asked about it when I bought my head pipe from them. This is what they told me
Quiet baffle will drop the performance abut 2 to 4 Hp and Trq. Well the full crossover will only show the gains with a motor that is putting out about 125 Hp and Torque or more. So no I don't think you need to get that crossover until you build your motor up.
Re: cross-over pipe...good on FM for NOT selling us something we may have thought we needed because of the stock configuration and telling is WHY we may need it but ONLY if we do x-y-z. I LIKE that!

My experience has been that Fuel Moto does not try to con you into things you don't need. They are very honest in their dealings and are truly customer oriented.
