The #1 pushrod side will be down, Valves up/closed. While your in there if you dont like the tapping that comes from the notch in the rocker shaft hitting the bolts (you'll see the wear marks) you might want to install some ROCKOUT inserts. Just search ROCKOUT and there's plenty info.

Damn. I didn't see this till just now. Not sure why I didn't get a notification...
I ended up just doing it the top dead centre method, instead. Hopefully I didn't **** anything up.
When putting back together you want to let lifters bleed down before going to the next cylinder. You should be able to spin push rod before moving motor after each cylinder. Think its in manual but easy to get in rush & forget. Prevents bent pushrod.

Thanks for the tip, man. I'm glad I dont have to to the whole TDC thing again. I drained all my fluids getting the other covers off.
Should be about 2 weeks before I get my gasket kit, ROCKOUT, and all the parts back from PC. I'll update when its all done.
You have to do the TDC installing too, more so important when putting back together. Or atleast be on base circles like mentioned, I like the TDC myself.

****. Good to know, thanks.
Guess I'll be putting the other engine covers on first, adding the fluids and then doing the rocker boxes.
