Hey guys need some help with people that have switched to a 21" rim . I have a 2013 Road King and bought a 21" rim and am having a hard time finding a pre drilled steel wrap style front fender .
The tire I am running is a 140/70-21 Metzeler tire . From what I have found on line for fenders ( steel ) is for 120/70-21 .
I have had Bad Dad get back with me and their Wrap fender will only work on the 120/70-21 also had Klock works get back with me and their Tire Hugger series fender will only work with the 120 size .
Waiting to hear back from Paul Yaffe on their Talon series fender .
Any suggestions ??
Go to the 120 series tire would be the way I would handle it. The 140 is going to be too big for about anything out there at the moment, I believe. That may fit under the stock fender with the rear mount holes drilled out, but no experience with it.
I will say this, the 120/70-21 series tire on my bike is at least as wide, if not wider than the stock 16" tire that came off.
I have the Yaffe Talon fender - they come with adaptors that are off-set and you can flip them around to get more or less tire height clearance - my guess is that as much as 1"-1.5".....I have mine "lower mounted" so they are closer to my 120 tire
Might be a little tough to find the wrapped fender for your size tire. Metzler is a good tire but then if you do find a fender and want to change up on the brand, you might be limited as well.

I like having options and with the 120 you will, with the 140, good luck.
A 140/70-21 is very similar to a 130/60-23 in overall diameter so you can just use a wrap steel fender for a 23" and you will be good. We did that on a bike here with no dramas. PM me if you want a price on a nice steel 23" wrap fender.

That's something good to know. Do you have any photos of that wheel/tire on a bike?
