The Dead Center fairings are nice for sure. They're quite a bit more expensive than the others though, even for the 'plain-jane' model. Without the electrical connection, they are 'plug-n-play' with no mods to the detach shield mount, and you can even attach the HD wind deflectors directly if need be.
I just mounted a Reckless on my RK. Great fairing and the best part is it's plug and play! I got the XL and had it painted two tone to match by bike. No road test yet, too damn cold!!
I also have a Reckless XL Fairing, two tone, Bluetooth Stereo, the works - and I love it.
Has not really been cold enough to put it on yet this winter, you know how it is - that big chrome nacelle is just so dang pretty to look at!
Maybe I'll slip it on sometime soon, I enjoy my 'King both ways...
I've seen some that looked good from a distance but up close really were poor quality and no real craftsmanship. Poor fitting and really really weak (the front would actually give and bend to the pressure of the wind and caused the paint to crack and peel).
