Like the glide says, the fittings on the shocks themselvesmay the culprit in your case because they are on many others. Had mine done under warranty while in for a service, but if you're not covered or between services and want minimal down time, back the nut off and cut a quarter inch or so off the plastic piping and then snug the fitting to spec. The fresh seat should last you a long time.Hope this fix works for you too.

I had problems getting air into my newly installed HD low profiles, it wouldnt hold any pressure. I looked closely at the black tubing on the end that slid into the red coupling. The ends had indentations around where the old seal was...I cut off the tubing atthe tipsand reseated them..It finally is holding pressure , over a week now w/ no leaks. Im not sure how that fitting is designed to hold the pressure, but it worked. Also, make sure you push the coupling in, seat the tube and pull it back out for a good fit.

ORIGINAL: glide

Have you replaced the origional air in the shocks as yet?
I heard that replacing the O.E. Harley air, with regular atmospheric air will void the warranty?

I just bought an 02 Ultra. No owners manual with it (of course). Where the heck is the valve for the rear shocks? I have looked under the tourpack, behind both saddlebags, on both side covers, etc. Please don't tell me it's under the seat.....

unless you have to

,New2Harley

The valve on my 06 is on the left side on the fender strut, right below the seat. If you lift the left saddle bag lid, you will see the fitting.

I would hope that since he posted that 7 years ago, he has the manual now.
Heck, he might even have a new bike by now.

There something about releasing air from the shocks using the pump and if you have the owners manual check out the air suspension section for psi vs. weight.
