Are the seats on all the touring models interchangable? Wife says the stock '07 Road Glide rear cushion ain't "cushy" enough for the long runs. Was wonderin if I could bolt on a nice pillow soft seat from an Elctra Glide Ultra? I see they're available on E-Bay, but wanna make sureone'll fit ??
Yes and kind of no. The Road Glide and E Glide's are interchangeable. You can put a Road King seat on a Road Glide or E Glide but you have to get a tank piece to cover up the tank that a Road King seat won't cover. So to answer your question, Yes the Roadie and Eglide take the same seat, no worries. I have a E Glide Ultra seat on my Road Glide.
EDIT: Did i mention how much the stock seat suks, well it does. [:-]
Seats from an Ultra and Electra Glide (both Standard and Classic) will fit your Road Glide. Seats from a Road King or Street Glide will fit but require the dash extension pad as the nose of a RK/SG seat is shorter to accomodate the longer dash panel on these bikes.
Yeppers... & the ULTRA seat is W-I-D-E-R & I think sits taller which means she may catch a bit more AIR???
We went with a HD Sundowner Seat on our '07 RG after having the Sundowner on our last 2 tour bikes... Wider and deeper for you... The only HD seat we have ever liked - Have done a few Iron Butts with them and looking forward to a few more...
What erks me is, I have a rk custom. I have visited all of the seat manufacter's web sites. And from what I can tell. My bike has to have a certain seat, or it will not fit correctly. What a pain in the rump (literally). Anybody have luck (and pictures) of anything other than a rk custom seat on a rk custom?

i have a corbin classic solo, and a corbin hollywood solo. are you interested in pics of those?
This is the piece they are talking about. The seat in the pic is a badlander for a Road King. The panel on a Road Glide, Electra Glide, Ultra, are longer than the Road King or Street Glide causing the need for the panel extension.

yea. I have the tallboy seat, which specifically says, "NOT FOR USE ON FLHRS" in the catalog. I dunno why, but it worked fine for me. As far as I'm concerned, any seat for a FLHR or FLHRC or FLHX will work on a FLHRS
I had purchased a Corbin dual-tour for my 06 SG and attempted to put in on my 07 UC and they do NOT fit. The reasonis because of the difference in the bars around the bags. SG does not have the bars, the UC did. So when i went to mount the seat, the seat would not fully sit down because it would rock on top of the bar. The mounting bracket on the rear of the seat would not come closer than 3 inches off from the actually fender. Making it impossible to get a screw in.
When going from a UC to SG, the seat tank flap will not look right on the SG.
So make sure it will fit yours before you buy from Ebay...
