Default Finally did it

The weather was nice enough today that I was able to get my bike to my new Indy for the season tune up. This one is a big one, cam plate, cams, heads, high compression pistons, new inner fairing custom painted to match the bike and a nice adjustable backrest that will allow me to roll on the miles this summer. This is costing a ton, but well worth it and still way less than a new ride.

Congrats!

Details on the build? Mine's coming apart as soon as it's warm enough to get it to my friend's shop

That's one hell of a tune up. Hope all goes well. It's going to be 72 degrees here in central Florida today.

Some people's definition of a tune-up varies depending upon $$. That is a heart transplant not a shot of vitamin B12.

I hope all goes well and she comes out of the shop shiny and new!

I needed more power, I took my wife to her brothers in Montana last summer and we could hardly maintain 85, speed limit is 80 so I wasn't exactly hauling **S. So, the build consists of a new cam plate (of course) and 551 cams, new heads that have been ported and polished with larger valves, high compression pistons (10.2 or 10.5 is the target I think) Compression releases on the new heads, my new inner fairing installed (custom painted to match bike) and the new adjustable backrest. Once its done, and warm enough, it will also be put on the dyno to get it tuned just right. All in all, I think it will allow me to maintain 85 fully loaded...at least that is the hope.

If only I could only convince my wife that my bike needs that type of tune up.

Take her for a ride and let a scooter pass you while you complain about power, that should do it
