Detachable tour pack question

Default Detachable tour pack question
Hi all, I picked up a 2009 Road King Classic today, haven't had a chance to take pics yet so Here's a link to a bike that looks just like it (mine doesn't have the luggage rack like the one in the pic)

Anyway, I have a detachable tour pack off my 04 Electra Glide. I know the rack the tour pack is mounted on will not fit due to the wider rear fender on the 09. My question is if I got the correct mounting rack would the tour pack from the 04 fit the 09 rack without drilling more holes or would I need to drill it. I have no issue drilling it but I guess Im just hoping I wont have to.

More than likely your going to need to drill. You won't know till you put everything together.

As mentioned, no way to get around it. Just plug the extra holes with plastic hole plugs from your DIY center.
