Default Fork question

I'm considering adding chrome forks. During the install, which would you do? (best bang for your buck).

Add the Harley cartridge kit.

Add the progressive cartridge kit (standard height).

Keep the standard springs but use a 50/50 mix of standard and screaming eagle fork oil.

Have read a ton of threads on these subjects but want to hear from those who have hopefully tried all three.

Thanks.

What I thought was best bang for my buck was montubes and chrome Arlen Ness hot legs. I was in dire need of front suspension upgrade and gave me a reason to hid the front axle.

Oh and add more chrome.

Legend Suspension makes a new monotube kit. Expensive though.

THIS THIS THIS THIS.

When you get the HD chrome forks, or do a swap, what you have is chromed HD forks with the axle bolt, etc.

Much better (IMHO):

Best bang for your buck would be to install the Progressive monotubes while you are swapping out your lowers for some chromed ones. Try ***** Shiny for the chromed lowers. Top quality at a reasonable price.

Yes, and then you have chromed ugly forks.

I've recently received the parts and plan to install Ricor Intiminators and Race Tech 1.0 Kg springs in my BO. Chap going by LAdog over on the Everything Breakout thread has done this and commends the improvement over stock.

Some people like the clean look of Hot Legs. Me, not so much. I went with the Progressive Monotubes. Probably not the best there is, but for the money, I am very happy with them as they were a big improvement over stock.

I disagree, I prefer chromed stock legs with a Yaffe Yaxel then the ones that look the pirate's peg leg like Arlen Ness is selling.....
