Default Ever inadvertently hit the kill or start switch while riding?

This has never happened to me, but I assume it has to someone--perhaps while trying to thumb the turn signal? Or, doing something else like resting your hand farther forward than on the throttle grip? Just got to thinking about this wondering what happens. Thanks.

Been riding for years and never happened until recently on the freeway cruising about 70 on my sg. Hand must have been too far inward on the grip and somehow hit the kill switch. Didn't even notice the engine shut off until I went to speed up a bit, twist the throttle and got nothing, engine made a slight chugging sound when I gave it throttle but obviously was not speeding up. Took me a few seconds to realize what had happened, flipped the kill switch back to run, pulled clutch in, and started back up. Startled me pretty good when I was slowing down with traffic approaching behind and bike when no where when I try to speed up

I had been wondering this also. I recently changed bars and the new hand position took some getting used to. I have hit the kill switch a couple of times while stopped but never while underway.

I once had a buddy that would pull up next to you and reach over and hit the switch! He would also turn your gas off while sitting at an intersection or stop sign! He almost got his *** beat!!! Notice I said once had a buddy...

I did it once, not too long ago while wearing my gloves. I noticed the loss of speed and sound change. I just hit the run switch again and it started back up just like doing a push start.

Not while riding that I can remember but I think everyone has hit the start button when trying to hit the kill switch when parking at least once, hell I have more than i can remember. But I have only been riding just a couple of years (44) so people can BS some but others really know.

I did that going 80 plus mph on the hwy on my first long distance ride on the 15 limited while trying to adjust the mirror. Never had that happen in 20 years of riding and few hundred thousand of miles but these Rushmore controls are soft touch compare to the previous industrial strength switches.
