Installing cb module and PTT button
Any tips on installing these on a 16 Road Glide Ultra. Never tried to run a wire in the handle bars but doesn't seem hard. The module seems straight forward. Dealer wants $350 to install. Called another and roughly the same thing.
Not sure what you need to run a wire for but maybe this will help.

Thanks for the replies. I thought I had to run a wire for the PTT button? If this isn't needed seems like it makes it even easier. I had heard a rumor that the wire for the CB antenna is already run. Is this true as well?
Yes, the wiring is all in place. You need to install the module, the PTT switch-pack and the antenna. Match the antenna to the system with an SWR meter, then do a software flash.
Buddy of mine just did this on his '16 RGU and didn't have to do a flash or anything and the radio works great, Module, switchpak and antenna plus the stud that goes in the tourpak. piece of cake.

The module installs with 2 screws and takes about 20 minutes if you have any mechanical ability at all I would recommend you do it yourself and save the money.
I just installed mine and it was all plug and play. I did have the dealer install the lighted hand controls just because I didn't want to take the chance of breaking anything.
Didn't need to flash it as the system recognized it as soon as the ignition was turned on.
You do need to remove all the screws from the radio mounting plate to move it so you can get your hand in the space where the module bracket is mounted. (really easy)
