If you really want a different one, www.leydendistributing.com is my site. Our fulls and opens feature a unique Backdraft ventilation that is designed for all-day comfort. No more helmet hair or itchy scalp when pulling it off. Light weight and clean aerodynamics also help in providing all day comfort. Do a search on: helmet help please, you'll see a review of someone's take on it. I haven't even met him, the product features/benefits speak for themselves.
If you are looking at full face helmets one thing i have learned is those with noisy full face helmets are usually the one s with side plates on the shields helmets like a shoei that dont have side plates tend to be alot quieter than those with side plates exception to that is an Arai i had once.
For full face I have an Arai Rx7-rr4. Very light and comfortable. A little noisier than a shoi sometimes, but it fits my head better and is lighter IMO. For Half helemt I have a ACC carbon fiber half helmet the dot version. Get the second at www.carbonfiberhelemets.com I highly reccomend both helmets I have. I went and tried on the fullface and then found a less expensive retailer so I saved a couple of hundred bucks. Good luck.
I just ordered me a Shoei RF1000 white forgot to get me a dark facesheild with it I called them back 30 minutes later and they said it had done been shipped so I should have it by the end of the week. They got a Cycle Gear just down the road from where I work so I'll go by there and pick me up a facesheild. It would of been18.00 more if I would of got it from them and they would of had to order a white one. This way I save 18.00 + sales tax. Ordered it from Dennis Kirk with free shipping. Helmet City was the same price as DK. Tryed one on at Cycle Gear to see if it fit right. Its been many a year since I have worn a helmet now if I can just convince my son to get one.
I also have a Shoei RF-1000 full face and a Shoei St Cruz 1/2 helmet. Both fit well and are comfortable.
The full face blocks out most of the wind noise and exhaust/engine sounds. The 1/2 helmet lets you enjoy the sounds. Evaluating the trade offs of protection from various helmets is something you need to do.
