Looking for some feedback. It has been about 8/9 years since I have been and have read that the enforcement of helmets in different areas as to catch riders off guard. Also if there is anything that we should be aware of.

The local helmet law was overturned by higher SC courts. State law prevails. Not much has changed, if you do stupid ****, you can expect some trouble. Never had a problem and lived in myrtle for a few years.

I've been going the past 3 years and I'm going back this year. My best friend lives in Murrells Inlet and we hang out there most of the time. Go up to barefoot landing one day and hang at the rathole on others. It's bounced back big time and I love it. We hit a lot of back road stuff that he knows about. Down at the inlet is the place to be. Beaver bar and suck bang blow is always packed out. Spokes and bones always has something going on. It's about a 6 hour ride for me and im always solo. It's pure bliss for me.

Great weather and plenty of places to ride. Follow most of the rules and no one bothers you!

It's been terrific the last three years. Coming back strong. Only folks I see get pulled are cagers or bikers acting like jackasses which has been rare. They helmet thing was in Myrtle Beach city limits and didn't last no time. Remember, it was a stupid town council that tried this. Hotels, restaurants & stores...never wanted bikers to leave. Over 250K last year & I bet bigger this year. Enjoy the whole Grand Strand. From Georgetown to Little River.

The main thing that is different, due to MB's desire to get rid of the bikers most of which failed, is that the vendor turnout is still not what it used to be. I think this is due to the way that MB set up the rules and so now they have to pay for 2 weeks instead of 1 to be there for the whole rally.

I was never a big fan of the MB rally anyway... so I am not a good reference.

Haven't missed it in 9 years, including the 2009 debacle. Won't miss it this year, it's coming back strong and VERY little of the actual rally events are in Myrtle Beach, most are north and south of the town. Like said before, Horry county issues the vendors permits and has limited them but still lots to see.

I've gone the last couple years. I live close enough that I just go for a day and then head out to the Blue Ridge Pkwy for some riding.

I usually go the last weekend and it's been great when I've gone.
