I have had my tourmaster defender for about 7 years now. I have been fortunate to only need it a few times but am very happy with it. I would like to compare some of the newer ones for breathability as if it is raining on a warm day the moisture stays in and out if ya know what I mean. I think that is probably the case with most suits.
It's a good choice and middle of the road for price. around $100

I was going to buy the Harley High Viz until I read a review where someone had a problem the first time they wore it. This person returned it to the dealer and was told tough luck your 90 day warranty has expired. If I'm going to spend that kind of money I expect the manufacturer to stand behind it longer than 90 days. On the other hand some warranty's are not worth the paper they are written on. I bought a Nelson Riggs rainsuit with a 2 year warranty and got soaked the first time I wore it. They sent me a replacement pair of paints and I got soaked again the first time I wore them. After my second bad experience I asked for a refund or an exchange for a different brand and they refused. The supplier I purchased from would not honor the warranty because they said it was a manufacturers warranty. The manufacturer would not stand behind the warranty because I bought it from one of their suppliers. I contacted my credit card company and they considered this misrepresentation and charged it back.

I just got this one for my bday this year. Seems pretty well made and well thought-out. At half the cost of HD-branded, it's definitely worth a look:

Rain gear is one of those items many buy, never take out of the storage pouch, then end up selling. Just bought the HD HiVis last night thru Ebay from a seller under such conditions at 1/2 cost of new.

Like carrying an umbrella on a cloudy day, to guarantee that it never rains! Exactly!

Go with a complete riding suit, that way there's nothing to put on. Kim makes nice stuff, but they're expensive. My wife swears by her Olympia stuff.
