I would imagine that the most difficult part of the job would be removing the fairing to get at the speaker backs. Are you going with the Ultrasound kit with the amp or just new speakers?

Those of you that are using the Ultrasound amp kit, is the sound really that much better than just running the upgraded speakers with no amp?
I would like an answer to the Amp no Amp question with just front speakers - I just bought a set - also hows the installation ???

O.K. I re-read my post, and feel maybe I'm being to hard on this guy so I am deleting the lower half -

Zorro ,,,,,,

I never made even ONE post that was derogatory toward hog Tunes speakers or product ,,,,,,, in fact more than once I said they made a good product ,,,,

I only asked some of you to compare the J&M's,,,, and to give a voice to those members here who might have an alternative opinion to yours ,,,,,,

then you personally called me retarded ,,, and i am still laughin so hard I can barely type this ,,,,,,

BTW ,,,, I have a decent set of instructions for removing the faring clamshell to get at the speakers you want to replace ,,,,, whether with J&M's OR Hog Tunes ,,,,,,

e-mail me at john@jmcorp.com if you are interested ,,,,,

Removing the outer fairing is a piece of cake... its got 7 torx screws you need to take the 2 up under the fairing above the forks out the 2 on the outside if the fairing under the cig light thenloosen the 3 in the windshield pop the windshield out then carefully remove the screws be careful not to drop the fairing....

I'm going with the upgraded speakers for right now. I'd like to hear from those that have added the amp also. I removed the stock windshield to put in the 4" shorty windscreen so it sounds like just a few more screws and I'll be done. Kind of worried about the wires up in there though. Any advice or lessons learned would be appreciated!

p.s. Anyone heading to D.C. for rolling thunder? A few friends of mine are rolling out mid day Friday the 25th from Hampton Roads / Tidewater area in VA.
