You should be able to find someone selling a 14 Road King for at least 15-16K But if you are still in the 12-13k price range, then a 13 should suit you.

If you see a used 14-16 Road King selling more than MSRP, I would clearly stay away.

so no, that mileage doesn't bother me so long as it was maintained properly.

To the OP: I would go with the 13 personally. Like mentioned before nicer to make it yours than buy something that someone else made. I happen to like the 13 anniversary paint.

Not too many changes on a RK with the Rushmore mods... just the bags and HO motor. both are livable in my eyes.

My advice (which is worth precisely what you are paying for it) is to stay away from the '08 for the reasons others have stated. If memory serves, the 2010 will still have the 96 cubic inch engine. (I don't think the RKC's got the 103 until 2011--my year--and the regular RK's didn't get it until 2012). So, if it were me, I'd go for the 13 among those choices for the newer (and better) frame and 103.

Don't be concerned about the mileage. I've put 45,000+ on mine and it still runs like new.

Look for a 2014 police roadking
You should be able to find one with less than 20,000 miles for $11,000.00 to $14,000.00 and they have the new latching system one hand opening.

And don't listen to all the hype about the '08s being a weird year or hard to find parts for etc, etc. I just turned over 148,000 miles on mine last week and love it. Never had an issue. 08 was the first year for the cush drive, 6 gal tank and ABS which are all nice improvements. Cruise control was also an option as I have it. I've ridden plenty of newer models and really don't notice any huge difference but that may be because they were all sitting on stock suspensions.
That's great that you have a million miles with no issues on yours. I'm sure many 08 owners would say the same. No one has said they break any more often than any other year. What we did say is they're a transitional year, and some parts are hard to find. Which is an absolute fact.

And the gearing on them absolutely sucks. 6th gear is damn near unusable and 1st gear is way too tall.

What makes the '10 so ugly? I would never consider buying a bike I thought was ugly.

I would definitely go for the 13. You'll have newer frame, abs, security system, anniversary paint which I think is out freaking standing, but admittedly I'm biased.

I mean seriously how could you not love that paint job? One of the best I've ever seen in quote my opinion.

But to each his own. Everyone's got their own taste. That being said you're going to put down a lot of money on this bike you need to be happy completely happy with what you're going to get don't settle or you'll kick yourself later.

I would steer clear of the 08. Hard to find parts, old frame and bad gearing. Go with the newer 09 and up frame preferably with a 103.

I have an 08 Road King and I have zero issues. Get what you want. I agree the price is a little high, but I wouldn't buy a bike if I hated the color either.
