1K svc on a big twin is around $250 - depending on the choice of oil. Quite a few things are on the list and it normally takes around 3 hours to complete ($55/hr).
My son got his done free. Then when he got home he drained everything and put Amsoil in. If they want do it free I would go elsewhere or do it yourself.

My dealer normally charges for 1st service on the sticker, but I told them I didn't want it and the bottom line might affect the sale since I was shopping around. They nixed it and I did the work myself, as usual. I believe it was around $225, lower than most in this area.
The dealership here (Colo Springs) charges $330. The local indy does it for $250-280 (I forget exactly). I paid $60 for an HD repair manual - a little cheaper that way .
