I have had pretty much every exhaust system out there at one time or another. Currently on my 14 street glide special I am running a bassani down under true dual head-pipe and v&h twin slash. Prior to this system I had the 2 to 1 pro pipe and just was not happy with it. On the Dyno hp was pretty much the same but torque was a little higher down low but peak numbers were very close. My butt Dyno barely felt a difference plus I just could not get used to only one muffler with factory bags. All my other 2 to 1 systems were on bikes with stretched bags and looked much better. In the end it's all up to you. If you want I can email you some sound clips of different exhaust systems.
Um no...a gain actually. The S&S PowerTune duals give a true dual look but actually have a 2-1-2 setup, giving way to the the "exhaust collector" style of headers. That's why I choose them, and love'm. Never had anything S&S before. They are pretty solid. Like I said, I was a V&H guy, still am sort of, but this setup is stout for all around power and touring. I run a PowerVision from FuelMoto. They rock too!
Whatever you choose you will love. Just search a bit, listen to others, and honestly take advice if it sounds legit. A few folks here helped me as well. Good luck.

Doing lots of that. Thanks. I did find a sound clip of the S&S headers with some CFR's and they sounded really clean. Probably the best I've heard so far.
Why not some true duals? Some classic Rineharts sound just nasty and loss of torque...... Get yourself a tune, You won't notice it. Weezy makes 82hp/ 99tq. Granted there are combos that get you more but with only stage 1 not that much more.
The above with a good tune = you will have useable throttle everywhere and turn heads every time

I'm interested in true duals. I just don't want to lose and any power or torque that is currently there. My goal is to get the sound I'm after and hopefully see a little gain in HP and torque at the same time.

You will get brother... Nice and snappy with a tune
