My Rinehardt true duals sound completely different after my 95" build. Rinehardts have a distinctive sound, but not on mine anymore. Is this common?
Also, my bike runs hotter, I am getting the fried thighs again. AND it seems worse thanthe stock mufflers.
Is this normal?
You may want to check your bike on a dyno. What sort of upgrades do you have? SERT? Sounds like you may be running lean. Did you change your ECM programming?
My 110 does not run too hot from day 1 - pipes look great, runs strong!
My new BB build is hot also....give it a chance to break in and it should be cooler than before
My pipes sound great since the new build
Karl is on the right track. If you only have a few miles on the build, give it some time to break in. There is a lot of friction inside the engine that will loosen up as the parts wear in together. I remember my 95" build sounding tight for the first couple of hundred miles.

I will second that, when I had my 95 installed and got it back there was a little difference in sound and after the breakin period, it seems to me anyway, that it is back to the way it sounded.
That is what is worring me. I have about 1000 miles on the build and have had it dynoed. The mechanic is telling me "It should be okay". For some reason, this did not make me feel okay. I am more surprides at the difference in the sound. My pipes do not sound even close the the Rinehardts sound now. I had slip on Screaming Eagles before and now the sound is real close the the Sreaming Eagle.
Also, when I drine 30 miles, the bike gets to 245 degrees according to the oil temp dip stick. Is this okay?

I had Rineharts when I did my 95" motor upgrades............and they just became way too loud after. They were right at the tone or frequency that killed my ears, I couldn't go for a ride without getting a throbbing headache.
That was the biggest reason I went with the Supertrapp 2-1.......quiet power.
