Anyone using the J&M Flexpower CB Antenna inside their fairing? How is the performance of the CB without. Is it less range than the stock antennas? My stock range is pretty bad.
Looking at all sorts of antenna alternatives for a detached Tour Pak set up. I have tried the HD relocation kit, borrowed a bracket from a Street Glide Radio antenna and adapted it to the CB antenna, and I'm not thrilled by either.
I have the J&M Short antennas on my wife's tri glide and my Limited. Stock tourpack location. They are much better than stock. Harley stopped setting the standing wave on CB antennas a long time ago. The stock antenna is junk. Sorry can not help with the hidden antenna but with the stockers I could see her in the mirror and still could not talk to her on the CB.

I wonder how well they would do positioned down at the bottom of the rear fender on the Harley CB relocation bracket? The Harley Shorty antenna didn't work at all down there. Couldn't even hear my friend from next lane on the highway.
There appears to be a kit from J&M to that helps with signal strength, but I don't know if it will work in a detachable situation
On my 09 street slide, I get great reception. However d only transmit well to the rear. For some reason not so good to the front. I thought it was just me, but a friends bike with the same antenna did the same thing.
