Default Helmets?

What are you guys and gals wearing? I want a half helmet but ppl I know that have them say they act like a parachute. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I didn't have that experience at all behind my road glide fairing. That being said, as cool as they look and feel, I gave it up for a full face; Shoei Neotec. I value my face!

The carbon is not worth the extra money imho there is not enough weight difference. I didn't care for this helmet sat up way to high on me, but the quality and strap is really nice. The return process was simple to.

Short trips or riding solo I use an Akoury 88 half helmet. No mushroom head and no parachute effect. When riding with my wife and going long distance I use a Shoei RF1200.

I got a great deal on the Harley version of the Bell Pit Boss. Comfortable, stable and no lift on my Ultra

I wear a Vega XTA half and it works great both behind or not behind a shield. I like the padded straps and the way it fits my noggin.

I went to leatherup.com and bought a carbon fiber helmet. I is a little more oval than I would like, but has now broken in. Very light weight.

I find helmets a very personal thing. It all depends on what shape head you have. I have seen helmets I would really like to wear from a style stand point but they just don't fit my head.

Used to wear a half helmet in the city quite a bit. The increased visibility and having my ears uncovered helped my awareness.
