Default Speaker Pod removal Help!!!

Hi all. I was hoping to do a simple speaker replacement on my 2015 FLHXS tonight but holy crap how do you get the bolt off on the side of the speaker pod. It is the top one that is closest to you. Those that have done it before I think will know which one I mean.

Thanks, I just ended up being patient and trying a bunch of different tools. What a PIA though.

Mine was stripped out on the inside of the pod, it was still under warranty so took to dealer and they could not get it off without busting it, got a new speaker

You'll get acquainted with the term "pod knuckle".

I bought the tour pack power port for my '15 Ultra, went to install tonight, should be easy, right, take out 2 of the 3 bolts holding the tour pak speaker pod, in order to
install the power port....well, the jack nut inside the pod keeps spinning, and I can't get the bolt out, and of course it's one of the bolts I need to remove in order to install the power port...so frustrating!! I did a search for hssoldier's write up, and couldn't find anything. I'm at a loss as how to remove the bottom right bolt on this speaker pod.

Getting them back in is almost as much fun as removing them.

I had to remove mine, slow and painful but doable. I received a suggestion on the forum to replace it with a bolt with a different head. That helped a lot putting them back together and later when I had to remove one to make a tweak.

You should now be certified as a Russian Contortionist...
One of my happiest moments was when the fairing went back on! For the last time. Enjoy...
