Where in SC are you located? If you're near Charlotte, I'll let you sit on my bike to get a feel of the apes.
In Indian Land/Fort Mill area if you want to see what 12" apes feel like on a SG.......

I'm in Abbeville, SC.
Thank you for the offer.
I have a friend with a 2015 Street Glide with 16" LA Chopper Bars. I rode it a few weeks ago to try out his seat, a Le Pera Maverick. I liked the bars ok. The bars were too high for me but not at all uncomfortable.
The guy at the local bike shop let me sit on several bikes yesterday. The 10" LA Chopper felt about right to me and the 12" wasn't bad. The issue with the 10" is I would have to move my mirrors.

I had pain with the stock bars on my 2010 Ultra and 12.5 Wild One's solved my problem.

Bars / seats = one of (if not the most) biggest things to get Right for each of us. Being Tall / short - being extra tough. I fall into the 'short' side. I went thru several bars on my 2004 FLHTCI - had that bike for 11 years - got a new 15 Ultra - crap - old bars will Not fit - have to strart all over. I did a lot of reading / and like here / everyone hase a suggestion that works for them - it would cost a person a small fortune to try them all. It was suggested to look at 'Heli' bars?? A google seach later and wow - $$$$ . Kept coming back to them.
Well, i bit the bullett and bought them - installed them my self (No one in central CA installing them?) They are adj in so many ways - work great for me.
IF I could find a (Wild 1 ) that would fit me - those are great looking bars - however they do not work for me as well as the Heilbar's

+2 on the HeliBars

https://www.helibars.com/

They are a little pricey, but if you end up buying the wrong bars, the price can get eaten up pretty quick.

Had mine put on for free during rally in Sturgis a few years back. Traded in bike on my 14 SGS and had the dealer switch over bars as part of the deal.

I WILL NOT ride another bike without them. You can move them forward and backward (have changed them while stopping for gas a couple time during long trips).

But most important is the angle of the hand grips with can be tailored to fit you exactly!

Being a cheap bastard I solved my issue of slightly too much angle for all day comfort by bending the stock bars a little bit. I removed the grips and stuck a steel concrete stake in the bars, had a buddy hold the bike and applied force in the direction I wanted them to go
I have also straightened tweaked bars this way.
With TBW you need a pipe on the outside of the bars.

Be amazed what a few degrees bend can make.

The pain doesn't completely go away. But it does get better if I don't ride for a couple of days. If I am on my bike for more than an hour my wrist start hurting and the pain works up my forearm and into my elbow.

Thanks for all the input. I really do appreciate it.
I am going to start looking into what bars I want. I really have no idea what to get. But I'll figure something out.

Thanks again

Don't rule out some simple exercise too as muscle memory and training your arms/joints with some fitness. It can do wonders to alleviate those muscles and tendons around a joint that tense up from riding that cause that nagging pain or aches. Heck, even too tight a grip can result in poor wrist or elbow angle.

Get an MRI on your elbow. I had the same thing going on for months last year. Turned out I had 2 torn tendons in the elbow. Outpatient surgery and 2 months of therapy and I am starting to feel good again.
