Hit the search button at the top and you can search this topic until the cows come home. It's all been said before, many times. Bottom line seems to be, if you have the $, go with a Thundermax. If not, get a sert. Many on this forum are using PCIII but just as many have sold them and gotten Tmax's and serts.

SERT= Dyno tune = $$$
PCIII= Good map and your all set.
TMAX= $$$ = longer to install and set up= great running bike.

SERT is a reprogram tool to give access to your stock electronic control module.
PCIII is a device that alters the stock settings after they leave the ECM
Both can be loaded with canned download programs for added performance parts.
Both can be dynoed for custom settings that tune your bike better.
They both work great but they are BOTH dependant on the tuners ability to do a good job.
PCIII can be used with free maps from Powercomander or ordered with a custom map from fuelmoto for no additional cost. 291.00 delivered.
SERT can only be used with furnished canned maps or dynoed by a harley dealer and costs more.
Both are good choices, both have pros and cons.

For what it's worth, I just put a stage one kit on my 2007 FLHTCi and couldn't be happier. I bought it from Fuelmoto as a matched set and saved about half what it would have cost me if I had gone to my dealer and had them do the install using a SERT. I got a K&N air filter, SuperTrapp SE slip on mufflers, and a PCIII pre programed for my bike and additions. I've only put a couple of hundred miles on it since doing the upgrade, but I don't see how it could be any better. And no, it wasn't put on a dyno so I can't give you any numbers, but as far as seat of the pants goes, more torque for sure, the bike is much more driveable and that is what I was after.
