Ok......I've studied it and since I already have the air system on my bike, I'm going to try the Progressive Air Dragger shocks...I'm also installing the Progressive Monotube fronts.....it should be complete in the next week and I'll give a report back on what I think...
I'm going with legends for front and rear. A friend had the progressive mono tubes install two weeks ago and he hates them. Bottoms out, bangs and doesn't handle properly in corners. He has the 944's on the rear and he's ok with them.
I gonna do the legends front and rear with 1" lowering.
I had 944's on my RGU. They lower the bike 1 inch as they claimed . I was not happy with them when riding alone but they were ok two up. The problem is the shocks were not designed for light riders. No madder how low I adjusted them they just were never right.
My experience has been the same. Works good when 2 up riding, but stiff when riding solo (160 lbs). Ron 😎

His problem is with preload. I have the same ones and put 3 clips in with lowering it an 1". It was very stiff to begin with but I am at 400 miles now after the install and they have loosened up. I was scared at fist that I put to many clips in but now it is a very good ride. I am still playing with the 944 rear shocks.
I'm sure the legends are going to be great though I did look at those at the same time but I wanted new chrome lowers and cost played a factor.
I got the 944 Heavy Duty on Amazon. The wife says they are a little stiff. I probably would have gone with the standard if I had to do it again although the bike does seem to handle better
I replaced the crap air shocks with the 944s on my old Ultra. I like them and they definitely improved the ride for me. But then at 6' 3", I tip the scales at 275

I will trade you!! I have the standard and really need the HD for more preload adjustment. I think that is my problem I have mine adjusted almost all the way down for max. Got mine from another member last year and didn't ask if they were HD or not.
