You were absolutely just in your request and reactions, there was no excuse to not follow your instructions. If you other guys went in for a syn oil change and they were out and they gave you dino, same deal ? hell no you giant babies would cry boo hoo then.
It gets kinda old seeing someone bashed for expecting what he asked for and paid for.

not only that , you didn't get what you paid for. i agree with you, this is bull. you are spending your money and should get what you requested.

This is the number one reason I do all my own work no matter what it is. I was rebuilding my small engines on my mini bikes and go carts at age 7. It just kept going from there.

What's the big deal?

Dealer ****ed Up or service writer ****ed Up. Happens all the time.

You got lucky. No permanent damage and they fixed it.

Service on anything now days is crap, you always go back twice, it's never right until
the second or third time after you complain. I just had week of crappy service just trying
to get the door handle fixed on our Expedition, the first time they got the wrong part. Now
days they can't order the correct part.

I'd be a little upset too. If I waited longer than the usual time to have my tune done because I wanted a specific tech and then when it was done it wasn't by him and I could have had my bike back sooner if someone else was going to do it. I'd be mad at the waste of my time just for that, never mind that it wasn't done right as well.
