Glad you are ok. Being a 05, they may or may not total it. If the forks are bent or the frame is messed up where the engine guard attaches, it will definitely be totaled.
Anytime you make contact with a truck and you are on your feet in short order thats a win! ABS and reflex braking of the new bikes is amazing in a panic stop situation. Glad you are still with us!
Rebuilding a bike with damage like yours is pretty straight forward. The value for being a Rebuilt bike drops at least 25% and the parts, even off eBay or Craigslist add up and up.

If you're able I'd replace your bike with one that has all 3.
i thought helmets were suppose to keep you from busting your head open ? good thing you were wearing it. the bike is toast and i wouldn't want it back, unless it isn't insured. i hope you heal up fast. been there and done it, except i came up a short a leg.
