What about the S&S 570G and or Woods TW6HG, and or the Dave Mackey 590G....

I can tell you that a 103 with s&s 570's sounds and runs milder than a 103" with 590 DME's My buddy had 570's 10.5 comp, head work, etc and I had 575 DME's(10.5 head work, etc) and he remarked how much healthier mine sounded than his. 575's are the same as 590's, Dave made the lift slightly lower as to work with late model valve springs but the events are identical.

Lower your idle to 975 rpm and enjoy the ride....

cams that make massive hp at wot sound mean at idol but run so **** poor in the lower rpms that their useless in a bagger.

This might be the funniest post I have read in a while. I wish you were close enough to so you could ride my useless **** poor bagger at lower rpms, LOL!!!

Gaslog I feel your pain. Put SE 204 cams in my 99 E-glide with MM fuel-injection, hoping for that great idle. Idles like a stocker; very disappointed! My MM works great but I think it's what causes the smooth idle. A friend has 204s in his 07 fuel-injected Road King and it sound great. It must be the dual throat injection that makes it run too efficiently. A carb or updated injection may be the best way to go.

Andrews 57 or 37. Same profile but the 57 has more lift. The 37 in mine has a real nice idle. Good all around cam, too.

If it runs great now, then head over to the audio section and get the loudest stereo possible. I'll send you a great MP3 of an old shovel with a real lopey idle.
