1984 Electra Glide
Hello All.
Just joined this Forum, first time on an HD forum.
I have an 1984 Evo Electra Glide Classic FLHTP Police Special.
I bought it in October 1984 with aprox 1000 miles on it.
It is vehicle #1 of 40 escort vehicles made for the September cross Canada tour for the Pope.
I have only modified it mechanically. Dyna Ignition module, S&S carb, Crane cam for more torque, Jims lifters. Jessie James made billet points and clutch covers. ( Before Jessie James was known) Paint ect is all original.
I changed the rear shocks from the air ones to FXRT performance one that are adjustable. Still running strong, cylinders weeping a wee bit, aprox 150K on it now, broke several speedo cables before I read a trick in Easyriders about drill and tap a grease zerk into the speedo drive on the wheel.
I do my own work and never have brought the bike to the dealer for work.
Been riding for 44 years now, old skool I guess.
