My 09 is financed at the CU for 2.99 for like 60months or something. Walked in the other day and did a signature loan in under 20 minutes for 4500. Actually done 2 signatures for that amount in the last 15 months. Both at 7.9 or 8.9 interest for 48. Credit score is just over 750. Not sure of the fees side of things as I have never looked honestly at that side of it when doing loans with this CU but I imagine there is some in the deal somewhere. Any vehicle loan is 2.9 at this CU reguardless of term up to 84 months. So you should find a lot better deal than you are getting with that good of a score.
Exactly why America is 20 trillion in debit.
ME ME ME I want it now I'm worth it society.
To hell with having some cash for emergency's, riding a motorcycle up and down the road is more important?
Did you not get hugged enough as s child? Now the OP is responsible for the national debt? The government funded 1.2 million dollars of research last year toward the effects of micro gravity on sheep, I guess that wasteful spending is his fault?
The OP found a bike that he thinks is a good fit to buy right now. That's his choice. He's doing everything right to get himself back on track financially. I suppose you've never made mistakes or screwed anything up? All the guy is asking for is solid advice for financing in his situation.
Im sure you're a good guy to hang out and drink a beer with, but posts like this come across as being a judgmental ****. That's just my $.02 (which wasn't financed btw)
I put 10k miles on my Electra in a year and a half. I bought my Road Glide in March and have put 2500 on it already. Plus a couple thousand on my Softail in the last couple yrs. Fuel pump is out of the Buell so it hasn't been rode in a while. I have put 4 thousand on my grand Cherokee in 2 yrs. So yeah, my primary transportation, in eastern Ohio, is my motorcycles.
I got 1.69% for 48 or 60 months with excellent credit at Georgia United Credit Union and it only cost $5.00 to join!
I got 1.75 with Suncoast CU last year in Florida. Had my pick from 36 months to 60 months.
Went to buy a $3,500 shed that was advertised for 12 months interest free. It ended up simply being a Busey Credit card. When the card came in the mail it was approved with a limit for $20,000, no interest 12 months.
If your credit score is in the high 700's or 800's, you can get between 2% and 0% on almost anything.
