IT is a P2101 code NOT A P 2102
Is there a fix for this P2101 code that wont clear on my o8 RKC
I have change the grips recently however I believe this occurred prior to the new Heritage white grips as if the bike sits for a couple of days it's really really hard to start
I leaving on a trip for 4 days in the morning and hoping to get it fixed along the way or when I get back
What kind of issues can I expect from this code
Once the bike is started it runs perfectly fine
any help would be appreciated
Is this a problem where I explain the code to a mechanic and it's a quick and expensive fix
TBW CODE. Has to do with the actuator. Tech can clear code if it's historical, if it comes back you need to find the problem. I'm 7 days so far chasing mine down. Do you have a power commander 5 installed?
Just arrived home From my N.Y. Trip and read your post, thank you for the attachment it sounds pretty complicated but I will check around to see if anyone can sort it out for me, noticed a high amount of pinging in 5th gear on acceleration not sure if that had anything to do with it, however gas mileage remained good
Once again thank you for the info
Thanks to Xpressway For the service bulletin as my friend was able to solve the code P2101
I showed it to a friend of mine and he took all connections going to or connected to the fuel management system (thunderMax) blew them with his air hose, sprayed them and greased them, snapped them all back into place and we cleared the code and it has not returned for three days,
Once again thanks again to the forum and those that helped out, and oh ya my buddy and I rode through the Adirondeck Mountains, 1149 miles in 3 days ye haw !
