Harley dealer performed work listed below.
2012 flhtk
Had new tires installed a few weeks ago
Wheel weights didn't make it a week. Flopping like a cheap band-aid
Had them redone free of charge.
Same result.
Not sure what I'm going to do to resolve it yet.
Had radio replaced under warranty this week.
I installed a windshield bag a month ago.
For the hell of it I looked, windshield spacers are gone.
I'm a mechanic as well , not a motorcycle mechanic, but a mechanic nonetheless.
I work on stuff where a missing spacer could cause $20k to $100 in consequential damages.
If your gonna do it , do it right or go the f**k home and stay there.
Another rant about a dealer's work. You're a mechanic. There are good ones and bad ones. You should know **** happens.
If you don't like your current service department... it's OK. The logical choice is to find a new one. You are going to get the myriad of "if you don't like the way they do it then do it yourself" and "that's why I don't bring my bike to the dealer" comments.
I'm sorry but I just don't see the point of starting a new thread to whine to a group of total strangers that don't give a **** about your experience. I'm sorry it happened, move on. Maybe you should have examined the work when you picked up the bike?
How many people made public diatribes on a forum about Mikey's work?
I'm just not in my usual 'it'll be OK Mikey, here's a lollipop for your piehole' type moods.
Another rant about a dealer's work. Yet you clicked on the link.
I'm sorry but I just don't see the point of starting a new thread to whine to a group of total strangers that don't give a **** about your experience. As well you come here and complain to strangers that don't give **** what you think either.
How many people made public diatribes on a forum about Mikey's work? How many people click on the thread post and know what it's about before they enter it and then complain about it?
I'm just not in my usual 'it'll be OK Mikey, here's a lollipop for your piehole' type moods.
Man Doc what ever sand you have in your panties, take care of it. Who the hell made you king of the forums.
The logical choice as you say...Don't click on the thread.
Need to check your self at the door sir. Your attitude is not necessary here.
Get some help man.
Be kind and if that's not possible for you. At least be nice.
I've had bad luck in the past with dealer shops/mechanics. I'm on my third dealership and am happy to say I am pleased and satisfied with my current dealership. And I don't spend money at my previous two dealerships, since they can't/won't service what they sell.
Bikes or trucks or cars, dealer or indy, it's always a challenge to find someone to trust. And then when you do, all it takes is for them to have a bad day and the trust disappears.
I look at the mechanic every morning in the mirror, that way I know who to blame and who's *** to kick. But I feel your pain...when I took mine in for warranty work and I went to pick it up the saddle bag lever was broken off and oily overspray all over it. Bottom line, no one cares about your ride more than you. You can't go wrong with Dynabeads though...
Finding a mechanic indy/dealer is like finding the right woman . you usually have to try a few til ya find the one thats right. I have a dealer out of 5 in area that i use for somethings and an indy thats used for other. Now if i could get this combo to work with the ladies life would be close to perfect
... I'm sorry but I just don't see the point of starting a new thread to whine to a group of total strangers that don't ...
Interesting: you get on a public forum to make a public statement ("whine") to the effect that people should not get on public forums and make public statements ("whine") about their common experiences. If you were trying to create irony, it worked.
