They may work well, but I can't stand to look at them.

That's why I also have Ward's fans. They are very subtle, almost unnoticeable, and they work very well. Plus Jason's customer service is top notch!

===================

2nd that!

I have Wards fans on my 09 flhtcu for 2yrs now with great results.

Also have ultracool oil cooler with twin elec cooling fans with wards fans that collectively together reduced oil temp in summer heat 50deg f that resulting in 5-6 great improvements in engine perf & overall riding comfort right off the bat.

* Along with the 50deg f reduction in oil temp a few of the other great results were oil pressure in summer heat went from 8psi @ idle & 32-35psi @ cruise to now 18psi @ idle & 45+ @ cruise in summer heat with 50 deg f cooler oil.

* Another great improvement was the motor now retains the pwr/trq & crisp throttle response it used to always loose in summer heat prior to installing the 2 cooling mods that lowered oil temp 50deg f.

* Valves & lifters now remain quiet in summer heat too.

* Oil temp reduced 50deg f also lowered engine temp in the process too resulting in a bit less heating hitting the riders too.

* Motor stopped detonating on hd's rec 91 octane fuel for the stock 96" motor in my bike.

* Motor starts easier/faster like post fueling up in summer heat because motor/battery/starter are a bit less heat soaked.

All the above made my HD a much better overall performing enjoyable bike to ride post installing the 2 cooling mods @ the same time.

Its now so nice to be riding a cooler bike in summer heat along with not seeing the oil pressure go into the gutter anymore like it used to with now also having quieter valves & lifters with the motor also retaining more power-trq & crisp throttle response with no more detonation & faster/easier hot starts too!.

Hope you guys are finally seeing all the great benefits you can obtain if you cool your hd like i did because it in fact made my bike a totally diff much better performing & enjoyable motorcycle to ride post cooling it like did reducing oil temp 50deg f in summer heat.

When riding the other day in 95 deg heat my wife again said she cant believe the diff in the way the bike feels/rides/perf's after i installed the 2 cooling mods.

She said she can feel the increase in pwr/trq when i and throttle thru the gears ,am passing cars or going up a mountain along with also now feeling less heat from the motor & ex system in general & less overall noise from the motor too.

Heck ,she even noticed it now hot starts faster/easier post fueling up too & she's no wrench which should tell you just how much the bike has improved in so many ways riding in summer heat .

So when an inexperienced person like my wife can notice all those improvements in overall engine perf & riding comfort on her own that should tell you just how dramatic the improvements riding my in summer heat has been post installing the 2 cooling mods!

BTW,sorry i went off yet again with a long post because i am so stoaked about how nice my hd is to ride in summer post install of the 2 cooling mods & am trying to help others see the light to get the same improvements on their bikes as i did post install of UC Oil cooler w-twin elec cooling fans & Wards Fans 2 the same time reducing oil temp 50deg f in summer heat.

Go ahead @ flame again for trying to help you guys see the light & way to easily & significantly improve your bikes overall engine perf & riding comfort all in 1 shot in long afternoon installing the same 2 cooling mods i did.

But keep in mind newer bikes with a cat also benefit a lot from gutting the cat & at a min after that install Nightrider's adjustable resistors to richen up fuel calibration a bit too .

That can result in reducing heat a bit from motor & ex ,correct lean surge, improve & smooth idle, etc too all of which are pretty common issues due lean emission mandated fuel calibration from the factory that were all issues my 09 with stock 96" motor had that the Nightrider adj resistors corrected on 50% setting post installing them on my bike.

Happy Motoring.

Scott

I put my deposit on a Ward setup this week (they are in stock now) and got my final invoice late last night.

I agree with Scott, just installing the UltraCool on my '08 96" made all the difference in starting, power, and engine noise. I'm excited to see how the Ward Fans help on top of the UltraCool.

Had my fans for 2 weekends now. Haven't had a "real" test yet, as the temps have been under 85. But with that said, my oil temp gauge has yet to hit 230, which it always did once the temps hit in the 80's. I still want to use my laser thermometer and check head temps and well as cylinders and the low end temps.... Once thing is for sure; I am not hitting the performance wall as the day's temps rise. Bike is staying responsive with the Ward's fans on.

Jason from Wards Parts Werks is a great guy to deal with. I had purchased my fans about a year or so ago and I have enjoyed them, they absolutely keep the temp down and work great to move air through the cylinders on those hot days.

A few months ago I noticed one of the fans wasn't operating. I contacted Jason and he had me ship the fans to him to see what the problem was. He received the fans on Wednesday and had it fixed and back out to me on thursday. His communication is great, just excellent customer service.

Ditto that I just received my invoice last night. Can't wait to install on my new 107 build.

Installed Wards Fans this spring, and has made a huge improvement now that the temps in the Mid South are up. EITMS hasn't kicked in once. Just rode the dragon on a hot day, and going up the tail my temps didn't get above 260 on the PV riding 2 up.
