+1 on the Tall Boy although this is still an ongoing quest for me to find the best seat. I've tried so many through Dennis Kirk and returned them all. Now, that is somewhat unfair because you're just sitting on it in the garage without putting any real miles for fear of not being able to return. Ideally, this winter I'm sending mine to MCC to move me back at least 1.5-2" and resculpt it so I fall back more than forward into the seat! Too many seats I've tried move closer not farther from tank. I'm 6'1" with long legs.
Just put a Sundowner seat on my 08 Street Glide. It seems like a fine seat.
I'll let you know after next weeks 2000 mile trip to Sturgis. I have owned a Mustang and it was a great seat for 50k miles. The best seat I ever had was an Ultimate. They are huge, but more comfortable than my recliner.
+1 I love my wide solo from C&C, also did the mean city upgrade to my stock. It came out nice, but the C&C is the bomb.
I just returned from a 1,300 mile round trip on my C&C Solo. It was fine, I have no *** so there isn't a seat out there that will feel like a BarcaLounger to me. I also had Mean City work my stock SG seat over. The C&C sets me back more but the reworked SG seat sits me down more.
I'm 6'2, 190, the Roland Sands boss puts me down and back quite a bit from the stock and has been a great seat.
prior to this I ran a LaPera solo. both had minimal padding, but that's my preference.
I've had a lot of seats. Mustang seats are hard to beat for a long day in the saddle. I think the C&C seats look great, but they are pretty firm (hard).
My Ultra has the Mustang Vintage Super Touring seat. It's my favorite seat for comfort.
Good thread. I just bought a 2017 Road King Special and I would hate to mess with the look of the bike but I also know I'm going to need something more comfortable for my passenger or I'll never get her on for a road trip.
The Hammock has lots of great reviews.
My issue is passenger comfort and then if I can be back a little further that would be great as well.

i did the MCC seat mod last year, couldn't be happier! Great decision, good people, fair price, and fast turnaround. I'd do it again....
