Anyone riding with a solo tour pack and have the speaker pods installed? I'm in the process of adding one to my Road King and it would be an easy way to add some tunes to the ride before getting a fairing installed.
don;t know if this woul dwork for you- I really only use my speakers around town and typically below 45 mph.
for anything longer or faster I use earbuds- plumbed into the stereo on my bagger, but on my panhead I just use my iphone in my pocket
mike
For touring I wear a full face modular helmet and earbuds and swap with ear plugs every other gas up, been doing it for years, I was hoping to do away with the ear buds if possible although I refuse to use my phone, I don't want the distraction of text/calls coming through while riding.
"I don't want the distraction of text/calls coming through while riding."
You are aware that you can turn off the alert for calls and texts...right?
Completely aware but I don't even want to entertain the notion that I could look at the phone, easier to remove all temptation and lock it in the saddlebag which I do anytime I ride, I use my iPod classic for riding. I want to get away from the cell phone anytime I possible can.
Not quite sure what you mean but I just turned my Ultra into a single seater by sliding the tour pack up that has speaker pods. Sound is great, handling is much improved, I LOVE IT!
