So, up until last summer, my wife and I both rode. 2009 Low Rider (hers), 2010 Road King Classic for me. Because of all the texting horror stories, we decided to sell both bikes. I couldn't stand it and am looking at a new bike. I love the classic look of the Road King but I'm intrigued by the Road Glide. I'd love to hear from those of you who've ridden both and how they compared in the real world. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Rode one in 07, never ridden anything else since then. Had a road king, converted it to a road glide.
Picked up a 2nd bike, another road glide, rode the hoka hey, on a roadglide, picked up a CVO guess what its a road glide.

Once you ride one, nothing else fits

fairing bikes (either bar or frame mounted) take a little getting used to. i had a bad habit of looking at the front wheel , not being able to see it is odd at first. got over it after about an hour.

As much as I loved my Road Kings, a month ago I traded my current one in for a 2016 Road Glide. All I can say is WOW!!! Love the Glide. I think this is going to be the ultimate touring machine. Do yourself a favor and go take a test ride on one, you will not be disappointed.

I've ridden both. Both are great bikes. I used to really wonder what people saw in Road Glides, but but I began to appreciate them more and more, so I traded and bought one.

I like that I have speakers in the fairing, I also like that the weight of the fairing is not borne directly by the forks and the bars, so I think they handle great. Its been my experience that on the highway it doesnt get knocked around nearly as much.

This thing eats miles!

You could go ride a Road Glide. Then come back to this thread and tell us what took you so long to get a Road Glide.

2 things I would change on my 07 classic would be the leather saddle bags to hard bags and the spoke rims to solid so I didn't have to run tubes.

I really like the look of road kings but for riding the road glide wins, hands down. Best touring bike in the HD line-up.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone! Sounds like I need to park my rump on a Road Glide for a ride.

This is funny! Back when they were called Tour Glides, people refused to buy one.
