Default newbie question

Ok, so i'm new to the boards, and after a day or so searching...(mostly old..old threads..) I have a question. I have a 2009 street glide with the 96, I've put on Rinehart 4" slipons, V&H Naked VO2. My question is...will changing the head pipes to something aftermarket make any "real" difference in sound? or am I should i just wait and do engine upgrades i.e. cam, BB kit or something else? Sorry..I'm sure it's been answered, but my eyes are bleeding about now for reading everything i could find but still am unsure...LOL

A big difference probably not, your 09 is catless which is one of the reasons people go with after market head pipes..little more air, little more power, little more sound.. Check out cobra duals, you can get their set up for roughly 310 shipped

I put V&H Dresser Duals on my last EG (96 also) and it was substantially louder.
So much to the point that before we took an 8 day road trip, I put the stock slip-ons back on.

Sounded nice around town, but too loud for extended riding (for me) on the highway.

Sound is subjective, everyone has a different view on which pipe is best, which is the loudest. Try goin to a local dealer or bike night and see/hear bikes with a similar set up and then make your decision
