Did you read my post above? The Hydro Flask bottle after 9 hours of 90+ riding I still had ice in the bottle. Agreed, the bottle that comes with it is worthless but the Hydro Flask bottles fit perfectly and they work great. You can get them on Amazon for like $25 for a 21oz.
Amazon has 3 sizes - - 18, 32, and 40 ounces. Would the 32 or 40 fit in the holder, or are they too big?
Mine are tight and a bit tough to snap but once snapped they're great. You do need a good insulated bottle to keep things cold. I keep the Harley bottle in there to keep the shape but switch it out for a Hydroflask when needed.
Either your bike has aftermarket bars or the parts were sewn wrong or you just need to warm them with a heat gun and stretch the heck out of them until they snap.
Thank you. After picking up a Yeti rambler and 3 Ozark insulated cups, you'd think I'd be smart enough to look for something similar for the cup holder.
I just bought a set of them and they fit on my 2016 FLTRU. They had different snap positions so that they fit a variety of bikes. I got mine to fit and I thought they were great on our trip to NY. First thing you have to do is replace the water bottle with a Hydro Flask bottle. Still had ice in it after 9 hours of riding in 90+ temps.
What did you do to get yours to snap on? I've got the same bike I can't get all the snaps to snap no matter what I try. I've got the saddlebags off.
Hello everyone,
Thought I would post a warning to everyone about a fitment issue. I was shopping for a passenger cup holder for the wife this past weekend at one of the local dealers. Picked out the one that is fake leather has a storage pouch and holds an "official Harley Davidson" water bottle that snaps on to the front of the saddlebag guards. This part is advertised as fitting all saddlebag guards for 93 and up touring models. This part does not fit my 2012 ultra saddle bag guards. I brought it back in and the salesperson looked at me like I was crazy so I said ok you put it on then my bike is right outside. He couldn't get it to fit either he couldn't believe the parts catalogue was wrong. So if you are looking for a passenger drink holder don't leave the lot until you see if it fits especially if it is on of the fancy fake leather ones from Harley Davidson.
Not sure which one you bought but I have P/N 93300061 and it fits fine. As other have said though, the bottle is useless but a hydro flask fits perfect and keeps your drink hot or cold for hours.
