Default Clutch pull

Hi Everyone, we were recently in Colorado and rented a 2016 Ultra and its a beautiful bike. Played with the navigation and the usb and enjoyed the beautiful Rocky Mountains using Estes Park as our base. I have a 2010 Street Glide and was surprised at the extra effort required on the clutch of the 2016 compared to my 2010. Anyone else notice this. Would be an issue if I was to upgrade in the near future.

Your 10 has a very weak spring in it. The newer hydraulic clutches have an increased pull from the earlier models.

Roland Sands makes some adjustable levers that help a lot with this.

yea it takes some getting used to. unfortunately not much you can do about it. then try and throw in a clutch with yet a heavier spring and it down right hurts after a while. i recently had a road king for a loaner and it was like butter, went back to my torture clutch just a day later and ughh

The new road king clutch is the best harley clutch i have riden. Releases more gradual than my 09 and 10 do. To bad the hydraulic ones don't. Glad i went back to kings with all the infotainment and clutch issues.

Yeah this clutch really sucks. Anyone else have trouble getting a feel? Harley make cable clutches great again!

I got a metric touring bike with hyrdaulic clutch and dial at the lever to adjust. Though Harley riders would have a problem with the cosmetics, regardless of performance or function.
