Waypoint names change to coordinates
At some point, it probably makes send for me to re-try one of my old Tyre-based routes (ie does NOT contain 'desc' data) ........... to see if it works, too, by using the start/stop/start-again technique.
I would not expect it to work without 'desc' data, but I swear my old routes have sometimes worked (ie waypoint displayed in skip) ....... and maybe they do ........ under certain conditions.

Wow, talk about frustrating ..............
On the way home, it worked from the beginning, then I stopped/started the route, and then it stopped working, in terms of displaying/not displaying the waypoint name on the skip screen.
If anyone has any suggestions, gpx files to try, let me know.

I've been trying many apps, formats, etc and wonder if my problem might be related to how I start a route ........... I'm attaching a photo of what I see when starting a route ............ I would click on the 'start' button (circled in red), but should I be clicking on the first actual waypoint ? (circled in blue)
I need to do some more testing, but almost seems like if I go directly to the 1st waypoint, which is what I want, it seems to work.

Well, I'm running out of ideas .......... I just cant seem to find a pattern to this. A given route seems to 'work' (names vs coordinates) sometimes and not others. It doesnt seem to matter which route creation application I use (Tyre, MyRouteapp, etc) nor the gpx output format (1.0, 1.1, 1.1 for HD ............. which also seems to eliminate the <desc> field in the gpx xml as playing a role in this working/not working).
Today I updated Boom from 1.21.0.4 to 1.21.3.1, in hopes of this possibly helping, but it did not.
I look forward to hearing from anyone whose waypoint NAMES (not coordinates) ALWAYS show up on the skip waypoint screen.
Also, wondering what level of Navigation software folks are at. (Setup/System Information/Navigation/software I think) Is this only updated via MAP updates ? Note that 'map database' version is a separate thing than 'navigation software' version (I'm at NA-MY2015 - I've never updated).
Thanks.

Has anyone else had a chance to play with this ?
Regardless of what I try, seeing the actual waypoint name vs lat/lon, is still a crap shoot - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.
(Yes, I'm at the latest Boom level from mid-Sept)
