I just sat here and fussed with it for awhile. I didn't like some of the routes it picked, so I tried to change the route following the directions on the site. All it did was add my changes to the overall route so it comes out a 22 hour 1200 mile trip instead of the 450 mile 7-8 hours I figured on! Guess I'll just use my gps my honey got me for Xmas!
I have a cheap program I've had for 10 years now that works pretty good. The one I have is Microsoft Automap Trip Planner. Even though it is 10 years old and I know it may not be up to date with any recent changes I plan all of my trips with it.
Hi Red, I forgot all about that one! I used to use it years ago..........have to look into it! I'm still learning this whole gps thing.......seems pretty good so far. We usually like to just jump on the bikes and go. Wherever we end up at the end of the day is usually cool; but we're planning a couple or 3 longer trips this year, and it seems like at least some planning might be a good idea. I'm hoping the gps will work out well with all the stops located for gas/hotels/attractions etc.
