We have two choices when buying Ohlins, buy from a normal Ohlins dealer, or from Howard Messner of Motorcycle Metal. Howard has been custom building Ohlins shocks for Harleys for longer than Ohlins themselves! He offers more versions and variations, including length, than anyone else, from 11 5/8" through to 13 3/8" long. What is more he offers us HDF members a discount, so give him a call.

+1 on the Ohlins from Howard Messner at Motorcycle Metal. I have been using Howards 2-2a for about a thousand miles now and love them. The shocks came with the preload and valving spot on for me. Can't get much better than a custom built shock with HDForum discount.
