Default Spoke Wheel Question

I've about decided that over the winter I'm going to 'backdate' the Road King (2010 cop bike with ABS). Wanting to go to spoke wheels and wide whites. In my initial looking around, all I can find are non-ABS wheels. I know Harley has made a lot of touring bikes with ABS wheels - where in the world do the used ones end up? I've looked on Ebay and Craigslist. Any other ideas? Even the new ones I see are non-ABS except for super expensive (near 1000 per wheel) brands.

The wheels are the same just be sure to get one with the correct axle size. The difference is in the bearings so add $50-75 for.new bearings and labor to install. You only need one new bearing for ABS but change both for safety.

Check with a couple of dealers for take-offs. I may well be in the minority but won't run spoked wheels. When I bought my Road King Classic, part of the deal was to remove the spoked wheels in favor of cast wheels. That generated at least ONE set of take-offs.

The current RK has an option for laced-spoke wheels, you tried the dealer on pricing? Or try the forum classifieds.

I bought a 21" Ultima with abs that I actually had to swap for non abs. So they are out there.

I bought my '15 RK with ABS, and it came with spoked wheels...I loathe them for the fact that it's a PITA to check air pressure in the rear wheel, but to each his own. If I manage to locate an agreeable set of cast ones that I can afford, I'll happily ditch both of mine.
