After looking for a bit it would seem that we might be talking about the bike in your profile and not another bike: 2006 Electra Glide Classic
If it is that bike, then profile shows : Full Vance n Hines Stage, guessing all pipes changed
Later further reading reveals: Fuel pack
I will guess standard air cleaner.
There is no mention of miles so i will guess 35,000 to 40,000 miles (some items happen at certain miles).
I will guess bike ran well until this problem started and not after something was added.
If the above information is correct then i would look at part # 27658-06 it is number #9 in the parts finder link below and is called Kit Air Control/ IDLE EFI w/motor.
You can review its function and make sure it is extra clean and not getting stuck.
A bike run on salty roads would have a greater chance of it getting stuck...about $50 part.

clean the IAC and if that does not hepl replace the IAC Replaced mine and ran fine after that . I found one on ebay for around $45 sit on top of the throttle body easy to do yourself.Do not power it up until you get it installed. I will run til it comes apart. There are a couple other censors that can cause the same issue but more that likely its the IAC

Sounds like a stupid question, but are your speedometer or self cancelling turn signals working ok. A problem with the variable speed sensor will also cause the bike to die at idle. Usually it will also cause turn signals to not cancel or erratic speedometer reading
