While these shocks are not sporty ones, they are also not Cadillac either! Am I right that you have damper adjusters? Try adjusting them a little, to see if that eases the ride a bit.
I've tried every possible combination. I currently have it set to all the way out, which shouldn't be confused with "zero" dampening. I'm sure it still has some at it's lowest setting.
Our roads are pretty terrible here. Lots of expansion joints that either heave up making a mini speed bump, or spread and make a divot. There's only so much that can be done with 3.7 inches of travel combined with a 850 lb bike.

I love them.
2s are emulsion shocks, non-adjustable. 2.5s are emulsion shocks rebound dampening adjustable. 3s are separated shocks, rebound and compression dampening adjustable.
