Mine did this 2 months ago. Would just go blank. Volume was only thing that worked using thumb control. I tapped on the right side of screen and it would boot up. Dealer couldn't find problem as it's worked since

Let the dealer work it, document it, and then after he fixes it, then ride it around the dealership area (10/15 miles so you can return if issue reappears). Start it and shut down the bike several times before leaving the dealers area, bump or two etc. If it works, great if not you can bring it right back and he can order a new system.

May just be a loose or bad connector.

My 15 does it. You can wait a minute with everything off and try again, most time it works. A few times I rode home from work with a blank screen and no tunes and it really burned my ***...

I'd wait till it does it again - ride it to the dealership and let them see the blank screen before shutting it off so they can see the problem and then do what he said. Sorry to hear the problem on a new ride..

I wished that the infotainment center was an option when you got the bike.

The mention of lower power is a good point. Many cars/automobiles these days do funny stuff when the battery starts to go bad, or the charging system cuts out. All the computer controlled stuff is finicky to low or poor power supply.

I've been good about keeping current on the software updates. The last two versions seemed to cause the system to be less stable. I experienced EXACTLY the same symptoms you describe and lived with it, hoping for yet another update to fix the problem. The dealer where I bought the bike (Ft. Thunder, Moore, OK) basically said, "oh well" and were unable to figure anything out.

I finally had enough of it and went to the *other* dealership in the Oklahoma City are (Harley World). A technician named James suggested that we do a *hard-boot*. He used a specific combination of concurrent button pushes, which caused the system to go into a hard-reboot. I've ridden the bike now for about 1000 miles since this hard-reboot and I have yet to have the problem occur again. The only downside was that I lost all my presets in my radio and GPS. But, that was easy enough to reprogram. BTW - the reboot retained the latest version of the software update, so there was no need to go back and reload.

I'm a happy camper now (so far). Check with your dealer and get them to do this hard-reboot and perhaps your problems will disappear too. You might be able to do a search and find the procedure to do it yourself.

Good luck!

Steve

There is a setting you go in to change it. Every time there is a weather alert, your radio will automatically switch channel so that you can hear it. Can't remember how to get to it, but that's what it is. Its in the manual someplace.
