Default Power commander troubles.

2013 Limited with Power Commander V

In November (I deployed shortly after) the bike shut off like it had no power and wouldn't restart. Acting like there was not any gas. Took out the PC and it started right up. DynoJet said send it in. They found no problems with it. Fast forward post deployment and same stuff is happening. Volt meter goes crazy while riding and eventually shuts off and doesn't restart. Runs fine and the battery tested good. Stater and regulator tested good. I installed a cycle electric stator and rotor last year or year before.

Any idea's?

Thank you.

Have you removed the PC again....to see if the bike runs? That is...if you reinstalled it.

I wonder if there is a bent pin in the connector. I have had mine for almost 2 years on not one hiccup. Let us know what turns up.

I had the same problem on a couple of bikes before my current one... No power at all unless the PC is removed. Dynojet said they couldn't find anything wrong with either one. My solution would be to move up to the Power Vision and eliminate the PC problems.

This is why I'm using a TTS; puchased before PV was released... I don't want ANYTHING hooked up to my ECU!

Pardon my french, but Power Commanders customer service and repair center SUCK

They could not find fault with either of the PC3's I send back for evaluation after my bike started tossing codes left and right.

But they were real quick to try to sell me a PC5 to replace them.

Bike ran fine without them, put them in and the issues returned... but they "tested" fine.

and that is why my 03 has a Thundermax behind the side cover....

Sounds like a ground wire either shorting or open.... Look at the connector. The fact that you had two "bad" PC3's is suspicious.... Just saying. I love my PCV, while my buddy with his ThunderMax keeps on screwing with it....

I am getting the dual version of the TTS to tune both of my bikes. Getting rid of the PC III on my 04 RK, and an FP3 on my 14 LTD. I like the FP3, but I have a very good dyno tuner and want to get it dead nuts tuned.

I've had my PCV for like 6 years on my 2010 Ultra, never a problem.
